The waterfall or cascade braid makes your hairstyle look so romantic and effortless! Here’s a tutorial by A Beautiful Mess that will teach you how to create this super sweet and innocent hairstyle! The link to the full tutorial is after our commentary and extra tips.

Tools and Materials Needed:
1. Comb
2. Hair Elastics
3. Bobby Pins

Comments/Suggestions:
1. This is a beautiful hairstyle and the instructions are pretty easy. However, if you really want a very detailed guide, try watching video tutorials.

2. The pictures are of great quality and the camera was able to focus on the right angles that are needed for this tutorial.

3. Dark chocolate brown locks are really big for this fall and winter. Try sporting this hair color because it will work well with this hairstyle. Just make sure that you keep your hair in good condition.

4. Add more shine and smoothness to your hair by using a leave-on hair serum at night. On damp and towel dried hair, rub a few drops of serum in between your hands and then distribute it evenly all over your hair. Let it stay on overnight, and you will end up with gorgeous tresses in the morning. Try Lucido-L hair serum.

5. This hairstyle also looks gorgeous on naturaly curly and wavy hair. If you have straight hair, use a curling iron to help you achieve luscious waves. Just remember to use a heat protectant to shield your hair from heat damage!

6. Add more interest to your hairstyle by adding decorative hair pins. Go for delicate flowery clips during the spring and summer. As for fall and winter, elegant rhinestones will add a touch of sophistication to your look.

7. During the summer, try using a sea salt spray to help achieve gorgeous beachy waves. At night, apply a bit of seasalt spray on clean hair. Start braiding sections of your hair and tie the ends with a small elastic. Twist each braid into a mini bun (kinda reminds you of those 90’s hairstyles) and secure with elastics. Let it stay that way overnight. Take out the braids and you will end up with super gorgeous beachy waves that will work well with the cascade braid!

DIY Hair Chalk

DIY HAIR CHALKImage – http://www.chicfactorgazette.com/

When teaser photos of Korean girl group Girls’ Generation’s I Got A Boy MV started coming out, many were amazed at Hyoyeon’s colored tresses! Many girls wanted to have the same hair as hers. Some people love to have some form of variety but wouldn’t want to risk having their hair dyed permanently. Luckily, we found this video by Chick Factor Gazette that will show you how to color your hair using colored chalk. …and yes, you read that right! 😉 The link to the full tutorial is after our commentary and extra tips.

Tools Needed:
1. Pastel Colored Chalk
2. Spray Bottle Filled With Water
3. Straightening Iron
4. Comb, Brush

Comments/Suggestions:
1. The blog post is very well edited and the pictures are awesome. It’s great that they also included a tutorial for brunette hair. The color tends to stand out more on blonde hair.

2. It’s nice that she showed a picture of how it looks like on a brunette.

3. Since you will be using a lot of chalk and a curling/straightening iron, it’s important that you adopt a good hair care routine so that it won’t leave your hair looking dull and lifeless.

4. Use a heat protectant to shield your hair from damage. Section your hair the right way so that you will be able to get even curls.

5. Deep condition your hair at least twice a week. Try using the Macadamia hair treatment mask. Use it and distribute it evenly on your hair. Cover it with a shower cap and let it stay on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse your hair and you will have super gorgeous locks.

6. Try doing various hairstyles with this. You can do a fishtail braid as shown in the picture. Try watching a few tutorials on Youtube so that you can practice it at home. It will make your hairsyle look sleek and sophisticated.

7. You can also braid a small section of hair from the side and then pin it at the back. Do the same thing on the other side, and yo will have something that looks elegant but effortless.

8. Use different kinds of hair accessories to add more character to your look.

Dog Nail Art Tutorial

Dog Nail Art TutorialImage – http://www.nuthinbutanailthing.com

Dogs are considered as “man’s best friend” because they are loyal and they can be easily trained. They do have different personalities which can be based on their breed. That’s why you have to choose the right dog that will go well with you and your family’s personality. And speaking of dogs, we have found this really cute nail tutorial that will help you draw super cute puppies on pastel colors! The link to the full tutorial is after our commentary and extra tips.

Nail Polishes Needed:
1.Different Shades of Pastel Colored Polishes
2.White Polish
3.Brown Polish
4.Black Polish
5.Pink Polish
6.Top Coat

Tools Needed:
1.Big Dotting Tool
2.Small Dotting Tool

Comments/Suggestions:
1. Nuthin But A Nail Thing is a great site to check out for awesome nail art. The pictures are of great quality. The blog is easy to follow, which is a good thing for newbies.

2. You can choose to paint your nails with only one pastel color but it will really look interesting if you use different shades.

3. Apply a good layer of base coat before putting any color on your nails. It will keep your nails strong as well as prevent them from staining.

4. If you want to create seemingly perfect semi-circles, rest the tip of your brush on the edge of the nail tip and then rotate the finger that you’re working on. This is also a good tip to use if you’re working with your non-dominant hand.

5. Make sure that you let each layer of polish dry completely to avoid streaking and air bubbles.

6. To make the cute doggy ears, take a big dotting tool (or the blunt end of a toothpick) and dip it in brown polish. Create a big dot on the side and slightly drag it down.

7. Nail art pens create precise lines. If you don’t have one at home, try dipping your polish with an empty ball point pen. It won’t create as much consistency as nail art pens, but it will still be good for fine details.

8. Try using a shimmery topcoat to add more dimension to your nails. It’s not as in-your-face as glittery ones. It’ll just give your nails a subtle sparkle.

9.Eyelash Curler

Comments/Suggestions:
1.This make up look is so gorgeous and perfect for the winter or holiday season. The pictures are great but it would have been nice if she took photos that will show you how to do it step by step.

2.She also didn’t mention what kind of brushes she used.

3.Her skin looks dewy and flawless. You can also achieve that look by prepping your skin first. Use a good moisturizer and pat it gently on your skin so that it will be absorbed. Next, use a face primer so that it will help in achieving a flawless finish.

4.You can also use a BB cream instead of foundation. Look for one that has a dewy finish. What’s nice about a BB cream is that it gives you enough coverage but it also makes your skin smooth and supple (depends on the kind of product that is specific on your needs). If there are any imperfections, you can go over that with some creamy concealer.

5.Curl your lashes before applying mascara so that your eyes will look wide awake.

6.The Maybelline Dream Bouncy blush is either a hit or a miss. It may be an interesting product to use because of its texture, but it’s not going to last long. Instead, purchase a cream blush. It will still give that same dewy finish.
