Comments/Suggestions:
1. Nuthin But A Nail Thing is a great site to check out for awesome nail art. The pictures are of great quality. The blog is easy to follow, which is a good thing for newbies.

2. You can choose to paint your nails with only one pastel color but it will really look interesting if you use different shades.

3. Apply a good layer of base coat before putting any color on your nails. It will keep your nails strong as well as prevent them from staining.

4. If you want to create seemingly perfect semi-circles, rest the tip of your brush on the edge of the nail tip and then rotate the finger that you’re working on. This is also a good tip to use if you’re working with your non-dominant hand.

5. Make sure that you let each layer of polish dry completely to avoid streaking and air bubbles.

6. To make the cute doggy ears, take a big dotting tool (or the blunt end of a toothpick) and dip it in brown polish. Create a big dot on the side and slightly drag it down.

7. Nail art pens create precise lines. If you don’t have one at home, try dipping your polish with an empty ball point pen. It won’t create as much consistency as nail art pens, but it will still be good for fine details.

8. Try using a shimmery topcoat to add more dimension to your nails. It’s not as in-your-face as glittery ones. It’ll just give your nails a subtle sparkle.

Easy Cute Gum Bubbles

Easy Cute Gum Bubbles Nail Art Design Tutorial Image – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zZGrKOLywM

When you think of bubble gum, you start to imagine big balls of sugary goodness that you used to eat as a child. You’d usually have a contest with your friends to see who can blow the biggest bubble.

Bubblegum Trivia: There’s a local tourist landmark in downtown San Luis Obispo, California. People call it the “bubblegum alley”. For many years, people have been sticking their chewed gum on the wall until every bit of it has been covered. It’s fascinating and bizarre – but gross at the same time.

Anyway – we found a great tutorial that will teach you how to create cute, anime like gum bubble nail art!

5.2 Shades of Green Polish
6.2 Shades of Blue Polish
7.2 Shades of Purple Polish
8.Black Polish

4. While it’s still wet, sprinkle a little bit of glitter on it. tap your finger to shake off the excess.
5. Take your different colored polishes and make little blobs. First, use the lighter color to create the shape and then use the darker color to outline the bubble. Do this on all colors and you can have the freedom to place them anywhere on your nails.
6. Use the black polish to create different faces.
7. Use a white polish to highlight some areas of your design.
8. Add colored rhinestones to create a 3D effect to your nails.
9. Finish off with a fast-drying top coat.

Additional Tips:
1.You can use a glittery polish instead of the fine glitter. It will make it less messy.

2.If you don’t have a nail art pen, you can use a nail art brush from an empty polish bottle. Just clean out the excess polish with some acetone so that you can use it to create fine details.

3.Use a shimmery topcoat to add more dimension to your nails.

Salt Nail Art

SALT Nail Art Image – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSyk2aBsGpc

Caviar Nails is a very popular nail art that uses caviar beads on top of the nail polish, it has a grainy texture and looks very chic. However, did you know that there is a more cost efficient alternative to the caviar nails? Indeed, and yes, you guessed it, it makes use of salt. Curious yet? Check out this video tutorial about how to do Salt Nail Art!

WHAT YOU NEED:
1.Iodized Salt
2.Base Coat
3.Nail Polish in Different Colors (Pastel Colors were used in the video tutorial, Baby Pink, Baby Blue, Lavender, Mint Green and Yellow.)
4.Clear Nail Polish
5.Top Coat

HOW TO:
1.On clean and groomed nails, apply a coat of base coat. The base coat will protect your nails from staining when you apply colored nail polish. Let dry.

2.Once the base coat is dry, apply a nail polish color of your choice. Let dry.
You can choose different colors for each nail, or you can use just one color, it’s totally up to you. Different pastel colors were used in the video tutorial.

3.Pour iodized salt on a piece of paper, apply a coat of clear nail polish on your nail, then drizzle with salt immediately after, while the clear nail polish is still wet, drizzle an ample amount, tap the excess salt off and let it dry.

4.Repeat Step 3 to your other nails, making sure that they all dry completely before proceeding with Step

5.Once the clear polish is dried, apply a layer of top coat to the nails, this will protect your nail art and make it last longer as well as prevent the salt from melting.

THOUGHTS:
This is a very easy nail art to do and requires no drawing or painting skills whatsoever, and because iodized salt is used, it is more economical because salt is readily available and it is quite inexpensive. If you want a grainier look, you can opt to use rock salt instead of iodized salt, or you can add more iodized salt if you feel that you need more.

Clean up is easier too because salt melts when in contact with liquid, so you will not have a hard time removing it.

Love music? Why not sport the notes you love so much on your nails? It’s not as hard as it looks, you just need a lot of patience and you can have a cool music inspired nail art design on your nails in no time.

NOTE: When doing nail art designs, it is always a good idea to place tape around your nails to keep the nail polish from going onto your skin and to make clean up faster once you’re done painting your nails.

WHAT YOU NEED:
1.Base Coat
2.White Nail Polish
3.Black Nail Art Pen
4.Red Nail Polish
5.Striper Brush
6.Dotting Tool
7.Top Coat
8.Cotton buds
9.Nail Polish Remover or Acetone
10.Tape

HOW TO:
1.On clean and groomed nails, apply a base coat, this will prevent staining on your nails when you apply a colored nail polish.

2.Apply tape on the surrounding area of your nail to protect your skin from the nail polish and help make clean up faster.

3.Apply a base color of white nail polish on your nails, let dry and then apply a top coat over it and let dry. The top coat will help to prevent ruining the base color should you need to erase mistakes that you’ve drawn.

4.Make sure that the top coat over the base color is completely dry before you proceed with this step. Using a striper brush, draw five horizontal lines on your nails, this will serve as the staff for your musical notes. Let dry.

5.With a dotting tool dipped in the nail polish, place a dot on one of the lines of the staff to create the bottom of the note and then use the striper brush to create the base of the notes. It’s up to you what musical note you want to draw and place on the staff.

6.If there are any mistakes in the staff or on the notes, use a cotton bud dipped in acetone or nail polish remover to erase the mistake without having to start all over.

7.Using a dotting tool, apply three dots of nail polish on the bottom of the staff. Let dry.

8.Apply a layer of top coat to seal in the nail art design and help it to last longer.
